The Carers National Strategy published in June 2008 set out the Government's short-term agenda and long-term vision for the future care and support of carers. The new Government now wishes to refresh the Strategy and want to hear from you. Click here to take part and to have your say.

Action for Carers (Surrey) is lead by carers, run by an executive committee of carers and supported by professionals from Health, Social Services and the voluntary sector. Its main aim is to raise awareness of carers’ needs and concerns throughout the county and to work in partnership with statutory services such as health care and social care teams to promote how best they can serve carers within Surrey. Action for Carers (Surrey) also works with national carers organisations such as Carers UK and the Princess Royal Trust for Carers which ensures Carers get better access to services and support throughout the UK.
