Carers And Their Rights
There are a number of rights for Carers which have been developed. This page outlines the legislation which is currently available, it also outlines guidance documents which have been developed to support the effect delivery of the legislation and other documents which have been developed to inform Carers and those working with Carers. Making Decisions: a guide for family and friends and other unpaid Carers". The book outlines the new law called ' The Mental Capacity Act' which becomes law in April 2007. Carers and their Rights - the law relating to Carers produced by Luke Clements, in conjunction with Action for Carers and Employment National (ACE) and Carers UK outlines the principle rights of Carers to support from the health and social services authorities. Its publication coincides with the Government Guidance on the Carers (Equal Opportunities) Act 2004. The guide is updated on a quarterly basis and republished in pdf.
