Adaptations
Sometimes when someone has a special need there may be pieces of
equipment which may help you care for the person. There may also be instances
when a major piece of work has to be done on your home in order to make it
easier for you to care and make certain activities easier to cope with for the
person you care for. This may be a ramp to the front door, a specially adapted
bathroom, or a lift within the home. These types of adaptations can be costly.
However you may be able to get help for such adaptations. To learn more about

Surrey County Council has successfully launched their online Equipment Self Assessment Tool, designed to help people purchase equipment with confidence to live more independently in their own homes.
The online assessment is easy to use, even for those people with minimal computer skills and is designed for people who have daily living difficulties that nay be solved by the purchase of equipment or minor adaptations.
Visit the Surrey County Council website to find out more or to begin your step by step online self assessment.
