As you may be aware, the regulation of health and adult social care is changing. From April 2010 all regulated health and adult social care providers will be required by law to register with CQC and to do so they must show they are meeting new common quality standards across the care sector. The new registration system will make sure that all registered health and adult social care services are meeting common quality standards, that the rights of people who use services are protected and promoted, and that swift action is taken where services are failing people. CQC is producing Guidance which makes clear to providers what they need to do to be compliant with the new standards. We would like to thank you for working with us to design and develop the Guidance if you have already been involved in the first stages. We are now launching a consultation with people who use services, providers and other stakeholders to further develop the Guidance and these events form part of it. The consultation will run from the 1 June 2009 to the 24 August 2009. There are events in both London on the 17th June 2009 and Croydon on 28th July 2009. for further details contact 020 8481 3313 Challengers youth
