During the year Carers Support Guildford hold a number of 'Time Out' events for Carers and training and information days which are both enjoyable and stimulating. • You need funding to cover the cost of someone to look after the person you care for while you come to the event

Meeting Your Needs

A series of free meetings to be held in South West Surrey  funded by Surrey Health and Social Care Joint Training Partnership

27th July 2011 10:30am until 3pm - Details to be confirmed, Wills and trust funds - Want to get help with how to set up a trust fund? Or perhaps general advice on wills - this will be an invaluable session.

September 2011 - Details to be confirmed - Parent Carers

9th November 2011 - 10am until 3pm at Godalming Baptist Church Coping with Dementia

March 2012 - 10am until 3pm - Healthy Living

Time Out Events

23rd August 2011 10:30am until 12:30pm - Swingbridge Trip, Dapdune Wharf, Guildford. Limited spaces so book early! (Shared picnic brunch)

3rd November 2011 11am until 2pm - The Meadows, Camberley, Surrey. Opportunity to do some Christmas shopping plus lunch out. (very large Marks and Spencers plus Tesco)

8th December 2011 12 midday to 2:30pm - Worplesdon Place Hotel. Christmas Lunch (We have only 30 spaces available so book early to avoid dissapointment

Local Support Groups

Fairlands Medical Practice Carers Group - The Carers group meets on a Thursday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm. Carers and former Carers are all welcome. The group is based in Fairlands Medical Practice, in an upstairs room next to the kitchen, but we often venture out on social trips.
