The Carers Strategy and Carers Charter has been developed through discussions at the Surrey Carers Strategy Group and to reflect new legislation and Government Guidance. It is also a response to organisational changes in Health and Social Care Services in Surrey. There is also a new National Carers Strategy which is being developed called 'A New Deal For Carers', which will  develop and enhance further initiatives for the estimated 6 million carers across the UK and the estimated 100,000 Carers in Surrey.

You may also wish to become involved in some way.  We have developed a number of ways you can become involved within the Strategy and not all mean you have to physically come along to meetings.
